Our virtual cocktail masterclasses are a fantastic way to connect. They are interactive, fun and a perfect excuse to have a get together whilst social distancing or during a stint in quarantine.
Human interaction has never been more essential in today’s current climate. With places in the UK such as Bolton and Blackburn under a partial state of lockdown and areas of Ibiza due to begin localised lockdowns, reinventing ways to socialise remains a very real topic of conversation. The health charity Mind even stated that the “overall” emotional well-being of the UK deteriorated during the pandemic highlighting humanity’s basic fundamental need for interaction. Tom Ford once say, ‘the most important things in life are the connections you make with others.
For all the negatives of this year, one shining saviour in the face of this pandemic has been the internet. Interestingly, the perception of it has recently evolved. It was once thought to divide individuals, segregating and isolating us from high-quality social interactions. Yet now, it has become a crucial component in our quest for connection.
For instance, when we delivered our popular virtual cocktail masterclass to the team at tech-giants Tiktok, we connected attendees from a total of six different countries (UK, Germany, France, Italy, Belgium and Spain). In another Saturday night session, we hosted a group of delightful ladies from across the pond covering three different states (Chicago, New Jersey and New York). So, despite a terrible virus completely overhauling modern-day living, it is still entirely possible to connect with others literally thousands of miles away and bond over the art of making a perfect strawberry and basil mojito! Would generations before us have predicted that 2020 would look like this?!
As someone who will soon be relying heavily on the internet to stay connected with loved ones, adapting to new social norms is very fresh in my mind. Let me know below your favourite ways to stay connected with others.
